The Originating Summons (OS) was heard by the High Court yesterday before a new Judge.
We were told that it was a full day hearing in chambers with submissions from both lawyers representing both parties.
The Judge will deliver his decision on the 18 May 2011 afternoon.
We were also informed that the OS was not converted to a Writ of Summons as the previous presiding Judge was not agreeable to the conversion. The Defendants' lawyers has also indicated that they will object to such an application. The Plaintiffs were advised by the then presiding Judge to withdraw the OS and then file in a Writ instead.
The Plaintiff decided against doing so having come so far in this current OS action. Withdrawing this OS and filing a Writ would tantamount to starting the legal suit all over again.

Note added on 15.04.11 : Following the query from a reader, CT checked with one of the 60 odd class action plaintiffs and was informed that PG did not turn up for the OS hearing. He was represented by Pastor Peter and Pastor Steven.

Call to Calvarites
It's time to unite in our common quest for truth, transparency, good governance, stewardship and accountability in our broken and hurting Church. Until the above goals are achieved, this is what you can do:-
1. Stop Giving to Calvary. If you wish, you may re-direct your giving to worthy Christian organisations, Bible schools, orphanages, smaller churches which are struggling financially or non-church sponsored missionaries or missions work. However, if God specifically tells you to give to Calvary or you are uncomfortable about not giving to Calvary, please continue to do so.
2. Pray. Pray for God's forgivessness and cleansing of our Church as a body for all the injustice, unethical practices and bad stewardship that we have condoned or been blind to over the years. Pray against the principalities and evil forces that have crowded the minds and vision of our leaders. Pray for unrighteousness, covetousness and pride to be removed from our midst. Pray for God's truth and sovereign will to fall afresh on our Church. Pray for His healing for our broken hurting Church.

Purpose of the Blog
The primary purpose is to keep members and regular worshippers of Calvary Church, KL updated on issues and concerns in our church today and to provide a platform for them to express their views, comments and concerns and provide feedback on matters raised, so that God's will and purposes for our lives and for our church may be fulfilled to His glory.

This is the CORRECT court procedure. It was to avoid duplicity & double jeopardy while on transit from OS Civil pleadings to WRIT of Summons TRIAL evidences stage !

Cant believe that a Senior Pastor for so many decades would not resort to mediation as taught in the Bible but insist on going through with secular court procedures.
Some people have cotton wool over their eyes. Are they FULL GOSPEL believers or just leaders who believe and follow only the Bible verses that suit their whims and fancies?
LISTEN, its still not too late to go by the rules per 1 Cor 6, Prince Guneratnam. Please do not push God and His people too far. Enough is enough and the legal fees should be used to help the poor and needy.
So, wake up PG !!! We rebuke you and your unwise group of hypocrite followers in JESUS Name !!

Pastor Prince- please I say it again- initiate first the peace move.We are talking about Gods redeemed here.They did not join CC yesterday.If your ego will not allow it- ask Pastor SK to do it. restore the axed members and maybe you should pray about taking a year off since so much has passed under the bridge.You need healing too.Dont carry on preaching as if you are above the pain of church problems.I think many Churches will be overjoyed if this reconciliation takes place.SP-I appeal to you don't turn a deaf ear to this.
Calvary is no longer a church. Check out their Easter concert leaflet. They do not call themselves a church, just "Calvary". The word "church" cannot be seen anywhere on the leaflet. Also no more "Senior Pastor Tan Sri Datuk Dr Prince Guneratnam". Used to be on every piece of printed paper. Maybe now shy to put his name there or maybe false humility.

Let me try to answer this question. I am just a visitor on this blog.If the Summons is converted into a Writ action, then witnesses must be called and in this case- I believe SP will be subpoenaed to attend Court.Definitely,will make front page news in Malaysia and the 6 pm news.When the Judge arrives - all will have to stand up and bow INCLUDING any Pastors or Prophets present.(And Nathan bowed before the King) Can you imagine Pastors going through the humiliation of all this? Maybe this is the reason-TTG does not have the heart to do this. All this has just proved one unmistakable truth to me --and this verse is for SP and followers- 'Pride goeth before destruction"

To all Pastors out there-Is there not a man to stand in the gap? This is indeed a disgraceful state of affairs.

As I was following this blog all this while, I thought that PG was testing God's patience & that he was being watched closely by God.
Upon reading the comment by Anonymous of 3:01pm on 14th Apr, it suddenly dawned on me that perhaps God is also watching ALL pastors in & outside of Malaysia to see who will stand up for Him to resolve & end this misery created by PG.
TO ALL PASTORS OUT THERE WHO ARE READING THIS BLOG OR OTHERWISE AWARE OF PG'S MISDEEDS, your non-involvement may read as MYOB (Mind Your Own Business) BUT actually you are as guilty as the Priest & the Levite in the story of the Good Samaritan (in Luke 10:30-36). Instead, be a Good Samaritan & stand up for the Lord by speaking to PG to end this needless misery.
If PG refuses to listen to your cautions, then excommunicate him from the Christian circle & let him be an outcast & a pariah. For those Pastors who had already spoken with PG & failed to convince him, perhaps you should declare PG an outcast & pariah just like how NECF has dropped PG's name as Advisor in its newsletter.
PASTORS, step up & stand up for the Lord before you are asked by Him "What did you do in the PG episode?" For those Pastors who had already spoken with PG & failed to convince him, the Lord will say "well done, my good & faithful servant"
But the NECF website today April 14th still stating he is the Advisor.
We agree with various bloggers that this court case is not only about concerned people, esp the congregation, seeking changes and improvements within leadership in CC. On a wider scope, other congregations should start opening wide their eyes and ears to examine any misdeeds and wrong doings committed within their respective churches, by their leaders. Be rqave enough to admit it and to implement godly changes.
Many Christians dare not ask their Pastors whether their Churches practiced TRUTH & TRANSPARENCY & GOOD GOVERANCE ! My good friends said they are scared to offend their own pastors !
We must always respect our pastors anointed of God to be our shepherds, i.e., to be a servant to look after the sheep entrusted to care for and nurture. It is often our fault that we love and respect them too much to the extent that we elevate them to godlike status. If we see and know that the pastor is becoming a dictator we have the responsibility to remind, correct and even rebuke.
These thoughts came to mind today which I feel so strongly to share.
Some of us sharing our views here are not even axed, hurting Calvarites or perhaps maybe not even living in KL.
But we are here and giving our support coz WE CANT TOLERATE INJUSTICE! Initially, when I first came across this website, I thought...OMG, these people (the plaintiffs) do not practice Love as in I Cor 13...which is patient, kind etc etc toward PG and Co.
But having gone through these mths and following closely with CT on this matter, I felt this message in my heart today. See, David could not have gone to Goliath and say, hey, I love you, let's not fight. He knew Goliath was evil and wouldn't be won over with love.
CT and all concerned have noble intentions for the future of CC. There is simply no greed, no malice, no wrongful act on their part. They have tried and tried to reach out in love to PG and CO. but have time and again be 'slapped' in their faces.
SP and CO. are like Goliath. They are out to fight, regardless. But CT will be like Daniel and will win this battle, be it slowly but SURELY.
Even if other prominent leaders do not want to stand in the gap and help and rather condone wrongdoing, God will see that justice prevails. He doesnt need these unwilling hypocrites who play Church.
God has His Timing and His Ways are above our Ways, His Thoughts above our Thoughts. So, let us all not be discouraged. Let us not fret nor be frustrated.
We may not even be Calvarites when the new leadership takes over, but life is about making the world a better place, making changes to help others. We will rejoice when you rejoice.
Jesus says in John 14:27 NKJV "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid"
So, let us maintain our peace, and be comforted knowing that we have the peace of JESUS. Let us not be troubled by this ongoing court case nor be frustrated when time and time again PG fails in his responsibility as a Christian, to do the right thing and be man enough to appear in court and answer all the questions and set the matter straight.
I am so glad that all the suffering by Calvarites and those that are wounded by Christian leaders and Pastors will not be in vain.
From the ugliness of these rogue leaders, we are able to see for ourselves the beauty of JESUS. These people pale in comparison and make JESUS, the SHEPHERD of shepherds, shine even brighter.
Chin up everyone. As David defeated Goliath, victory will come and we will all rejoice when it happens...:):):):)
Majority of the church organisation (leaders and members included) are men pleaser rather than God pleaser.They would like to compromise and love the world and the things of the world which contradict what the Bible teaches.
I believe they have lost their fear of the Lord.May the Good Lord have mercy on us by slowing cleansing each and everyone of us into God fearing children of God.

BLESSED WEEK TO ALL OUT THERE.
Tomorrow morning Jesus will be lifted up on the Cross,thus fulfilling His own prophecy " And I, when I am lifted up on the earth will draw all men unto Me"
May the name of Jesus be blessed on earth & in heaven.But SP has has chased men/women out of "his" church.And as far as I know,he has taken no steps to reconcile even during this sacred season.Its obvious to me & family( Ex- Calvarites) that he is no more walking in God's will.Jesus went through the agony of death to redeem my soul from the pit.But SP ...money, money, money...must be funny...SP how long will you carry on like this as though you are above this?? I made a vow this season. If on Easter you dont talk about $$$, I will empty my bank account, sell my other house and give all to you!! No joke.
There is a disease in the Pastors heart these days and I belive God is exposing it- beginning from this high flying smooth talker.
