Sad to see that God's people are also entangled in "unaccountability and lack of transparency" of fund entrusted by congregation for the purposes of expansion of God's kingdom.

Are God's people no different from the World, or even worse than them by being "Hypocrites" - "Wolf in Sheep's Skin"?

May God help us..

Having access and read the blog, this is the first comprehensive analysis of the saga and I find it quite enlightening, although I don’t think that the blog is the right vehicle as using a public domain dhobi to launder our linens, may expose CC and the Church of God as a whole in Malaysia, to be in a vulnerable position, should the information be exploited by “wrong” people or “over enthusiastic” press.
Perhaps those in IT could suggest a more “controlled and protected environment” to restrict access to all who register and sign up with password, etc.
I also find it somewhat amusing, self implicating and to a large extent, counter productive that the “movement” to discourage the misuse and abuse of the name “Calvary” by unofficial, unrelated and unendorsed purpose to prevent misrepresentation and passing off, etc, should choose to use the very same name for it's blog.

anonymous, i guess the calvary today website is equivalent to our famous 'malaysia today' and 'malaysia kini' website. Just like these 2 websites, this blog is an excellent avenue for ppl to read abt what's really going on in the church and i would like to thank the group of concerned calvarites for starting this blog. yes, it is sad and embarassing for the public to read and know abt this but it is no fault of the church members but rather, the fault of the leaders for not handling these issues better. God has given SP many years to repent, He is a patient God but if SP still chooses not to repent after so many years, there comes a time when God will not tolerate it anymore and will expose his sins and perhaps, now is the time. And the difference between using the name calvary in this blog and using the name for a personal ministry is in the purpose/objective. the purpose of the group of ppl starting this blog is not to gain personal glory but the purpose of SP starting CIM is to do just that.

To "anonymous". Just wish to say that the name "Calvary" is widely used all over the world and belong to no particular group or church. I guess this teh tarik group has to identify this blog with Calvary KL so that they won't be accused of "smearing" another Calvary Church in another country. Laundering linens in public, sometimes, maybe the only way to clean the dirt. The world must see that we Christians don't sweep things under the carpet. Wrong-doing must be exposed. Many high profile scandals concerning great Christian leaders have been seen by the world and yet the Gospel of Jesus is not retarded. God's plans and purposes cannot be thwarted even if a scandal breaks out at our tiny church in Damansara Heights. I believe God is cleaning up His Church in Malaysia and our church could well be the first in line.

With regard to the use of Calvary for the Blog, there is certainly no attempt whatsoever to pass-off as you seemed to inferred,in the manner I believed you were referring to Calvary International Ministries (CIM), a personal ministry of a full time pastor in the church he is still serving full time.
This blog clearly declared exactly what it's all about--without any hidden agenda.Hope you can differentiate the two now. It's all important to exercise Discernment-- which is rather lacking presently by many.

We commend all those who have worked hard in exposing all the unrighteous things that have been going on in our church. Keep the good work and God bless all of you.

Shame on you BOD. You have not discharged your duties and obligations. Instead you skirt around the truth and label concerned people seeking the truth as being 'malicious'.

The spirit of Jezebel has infiltrated into our midst. There is fear, control and intimidation. God help us.

Rise up, ye men and women of Calvary. Rise up for righteousness, justice and truth. Let not the spirit of Jezebel destroy our beloved CC.

SP we are so grieved. Why do you persist in not listening to the cries of your sheep. Your words, actions hurt us so. Have you no love for us? Bring the annointing back.It does not matter who is right, make the first move. Wave the olive branch. Reconcile your church.

After attended the recent EGM and after reading your Blog, we are convinced that you people are the one committing sinful action of speculations, rumours and gossips in God's house. God's punishment will come those who have committed such acts.

Grieved members. I agree with you the spirit of Jezebel here putting fear, control and intimidation on members.I have been reading alot of stuff from different one and hearing the language of diffrent people. It looks like those who are against the TT members have a harsh spirit and seem to be frightening people about God's punishment. We hear sermon telling we can get sick if we don't obey pastor. We read lawyer warning we can get sued if we sign petition and now we talk can get punishment from God. But those who tell lies and steal get blessing from God.
But thank God Bible say, "Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you." Luke 6:27-28.
"The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks." Luke 6:25.

Truth rests with the Minority

Soren Kierkegaard, a Christian religious thinker, wrote
"Truth always rests with the minority, and the minority is always stronger than the majority, because the minority is generally formed by those who really have an opinion, while the strength of the majority is illusory, formed by the groups that have no opinion- and who, therefore, in the next instant (when it is evident that the minority is the stronger) assume its opinion . . . while Truth again reverts to a new minority."

We read with concern events mentioned in the blog regarding Calvary Church, Malaysia. We used to fellowship there but left after we discerned that all was not right, especially some of the projects. We were recently updated of events at Calvary by Calvary members and asked to give our opinion.

We strongly support those who want to know the truth because they have the right to know.

Let me relate an event that took place many years ago in another church in Kuala Lumpur that now no longer exist. Even before the incident that brought the downfall of the church became public knowledge, there were amble warning signs regarding events in the church, especially on the use church funds. These signs were clearly visible to those with spiritual discernement for they could see the real fire behind the smoke. Every effort was made to bring to the attention of the church leadership our concerns but alas it was a futile effort. Eventually, the Lord revealed that it was time to leave and we left. Not long after we left, the church showed signs of collapse and it was the beginning of the end of the church.

I encourage you to ask tough questions. Press on. Do not stop. Know that the Lord will give you the boldness, strength and wisdom to see through any false leadership (if it exist). Ask for discernment and know that at the end of the day, the church is not a building but a group of fellow believers. You are the Church and you have every right to protect your Church.

To all who read this blog:
Today, Sunday -10.30am ,while in the service, and listening to Sister Petrina sharing and preaching, I was prompted to write her a letter but on thinking twice, i thot this blog will give me the opportunity to write, i am a lazy person when coming to writing letter, but now i only need to type right bfore me..
S.Petrina shared that she will try her best to attend the church wedding whenever she can, so she did yesterday.. and she mentioned by doing that she can connect bcoz they are the church members, may i know anyone here can enlighten me wat she meant by connect..? as far as i know, not all Christian young men and young lady who were born and (also serving in the church) to faithful and serving Christian couple in the church can be married in Calvary church. Some of those young men and lady aspired to be married and solemnized by pastor had been turned down and they end up not having church wedding.

As a mother and parent, i taught my children to share the gospel and be a testimony to their friends and contacts and here i seen with my own eyes a few of my friends' children cannot be married in calvary church bcoz they do not fulfilled church requirement...

We had been taught that many non believers stepped into the church the very first time bcoz they are attending their friends or relatives's church wedding, this is where the gospel is reached indirectly...

And here we are in Calvary, the Christian in the church not having the privilege..

Hi everyone,

My wife suggested that we write to SP's brader, Rev. Robert Lim, about SP's misdeeds. I told her tt Robert may punch us for it, but she said, "why don't we give it a try". Any views out there in cyber space???

Non-TT member said...

What about writing to Fred and Margaret Seaward? They are also from Singapore. Give it a punch too.

No Answer said...

Don't waste your TIME. Spend your PRECIOUS TIME reading the BIBLE and PRAYING for God to intervene soon.

You should instead write to the BOD to ask them for ANSWERS - REAL ANSWERS, not riddles that we have to come home to dicipher after that.

Let us know the answer if you get them. Thanks.

SP's Answers said...

Dear "No Answer",

There are answers - SP's mysterious answers that only he himself understands. The BOD, under SP's instruction, merely take it wholesale and use them to respond to us. That's why we need to decipher.

Since we are preaching transparancy, we should use our real names for comments and our TTG leaders as owners of this Blog should identify themselves so that we can practise what we preach.

false alarm said...

to: newchurchgoer
Calvarytoday belongs to a big group of people, why should they put their real name, if that is the case, they must well name it xxx.blogspot instead of calvarytoday. it does not make any sense for you trying to compare an apple with an orange. What do you mean by transparency in this sense? Why then are you using your name as newchurch goer instead of your real name???

transparency in calvary church is an issue that we are talking abt the conduct of our leader, calvarytoday is not talking abt the person who publish the comment.calvarytoday is talking abt issues not the person. so happen here the person who was involved in the transparency issues is also the same person who is involved in this predicament. it is as simple as that.

Please stop telling calvarytoday what to do, I detest people who try to share their views with motives. for your information, i am not the adminstrator at all in calvarytoday but i want you to know, we as bloggers, we know what is meant by blogging!

just in case you do have a christian name, and it is not registered in your birth cert or passport or ic, legally speaking, you cannot use that name, because that is not your true identity.
so, how do you justify that in case you had been introducing yourself to your friends that you are xxx. same context here, people who put comment need not to identify their true name, it is not required by calvarytoday's rules nor required by blogger adminstration, as i said, the commenter is merely a commenter on subjects and issues.

check your motives...to readers, please do not be fooled by false prophet( seemingly here) who tried to confuse you!

To False Alarm,

Why are you so jumpy and defensive at my simple call for transparency. Unless you are against TRANSPARENCY!

As a member of TT Group, I just want to preempt other people from accusing us of practising DOUBLE STANDARD IN TRANSPARANCY and of not able to stand by what we commented.

If we don't upheld TRANSPARENCY as our key principle, how can we TT Group deal with SP and BOD in this matter?

Anyway, let's not fight amongst us.
