We are in the midst of collecting information from various people who attended the AGM last night and will put out a report as soon as possible, as the Administrators of CT were also among the 400 members who were reclassified and therefore were unable to attend last night's AGM.
We would most likely be able to put out a report sometime next week.
Meanwhile, tomorrow being the Lord's Day, let us be found in the Lord's house to give Him due praise, honor and worship with all of our hearts.

CCC was conceived, initiated and mooted almost ten years ago and now it has to be another 3 years before it can be completed. One wonders really is it God's plan or is it one man's plan, to be realised at all costs?
There is a Chinese saying "moh tay hang" it is an endless pit that one has to throw in but it can't be filled that is, a bottomless pit!
CC members better wise up and review what should be done rather than follow as blind and mindless people... don't leave your brains outside at the entrance of church as one speaker puts it.

Indeed I am very encouraged by your words of wisdom on the blog.
I was removed - the most hurting thing is that none of the pastors who know me bother to call to find out why I did not attend church for 2 months before they removed me on wrongful grounds. It does not occur to them that I could be sick, discouraged or incapable for one reason or another to attend church!! I have been an active member even before PG stepped into the church.
On looking back by their removing me paved the way for me to attend another church to get the spiritual food and encouragement from pastors who care and love their sheep. This is a big contrast!!!
This exodus is good for me but when cc is cleansed and if the Lord calls, I think many of us may return to worship in cc. Possibly we will be better equipped to serve once again. The Lord may call us from different 'corners' back to cc.
CC belongs to the Lord!!!
Calvary Church will be declared bankrupt in due time! TOTT will bring PGs & die hard supporters to their knees! It will come to pass!
calvary church will soon be converted to #@*??# supporters church, looking at all those supporters sitting surrounding him right in front and yelling and screaming in the AGM on Friday night, I 'kesian' the 5 TTG members who were in the AGM being 'booed' and humiliated, their mic were turn off and being made to 'raised their voice without the mic to present their questions! being interrupted, intimidated and etc....
I also observed the 'abuse and treatment' by the Chairman who is the Senior Pastor himself. O, have mercy Lord for these groups of #@*??# of PG supporters, so..so.. blind and stupid.... Well, everything seemed to get worse compared to 3 years ago, I envisage more and more voting members and associate members will leave the church soon and leaving the 'rojak busuk' in the church! and for those who still faithfully supporting PG and 'rojak busuk', I pray God will be faithful to you even though you are faithful to the man.

You need not fret or even try to figure out how the Lord will work things out for you. Having walked with the Lord for more than 20 years I have come to know the ways of God.
1. We always think we must do our best to hold on to God. But actually the reverse is true. GOD IS HOLDING ON TO YOU AND HE WILL NOT LET YOU GO. Trust me on this! Even when I wanted to run away from God because I was so fed up with Him and even mad with Him for my circumstances HE DID NOT LET GO OF MY HANDS EVEN THOUGH I TRIED TO PUSH HIM AWAY! In His time He brought me beside still waters.
We are precious to HIM. He DIED for us. Do you think HE is going to let us go because of our sins, our failures etc. Know that HIS blood has washed away all our sins and it is available for potential future sins! His SPIRIT in UNION with our spirit will cause us to walk rightly and enable us to overcome potential sins. Even if we fall a thousand times, His blood will wash our sins provided we REPENT and do not lose OUR FAITH IN HIM. Remember ONLY we see TIME. God sees no TIME and HE sees us PERFECT in CHRIST in eternity.
2. We have not been taught correctly how to know the will of God. We often think we must find God's will. Which church to attend, who to marry, where to work etc? The fact is the WILL OF GOD GROWS ON YOU. WHERE YOU ARE NOW IS HIS WILL FOR THE PRESENT TIME. We must trust the Lord to know that if something was not His will - He will close that door. If you are now in a different church - it is His will for you to be there – otherwise you will not be there! He will show you the next direction at the appropriate time. If you are one of those who wish to stay and continue to worship in Calvary and be faithful to Him there - that is the will of God for you. If you are part of the TTG - that is the will of God for you. He calls each of us according to His purposes and our spiritual maturity – whether we are CHILD, YOUTH or FATHER. A CHILD depends on another to protect him; a YOUTH explores to find out who he is. A FATHER protects the CHILD and the YOUTH and fights for Transparency, Truth and Good Governance. Which stage we are depends on the Lord’s calling and how much we are willing to COOPERATE with Him to destroy the work of the enemy.
We waste much energy trying to figure out the will of God. Be faithful and HE WILL SHOW YOU. It is the double-minded person who misses His will. If you are single-minded and ONLY WANT TO KNOW HIM - He will direct your path. He may take you into the valley of trouble to teach you and He will also take you to the high mountain tops to bless you. Both the valley and the mountain top experiences are to MATURE you to become FATHERS so that you are able to BLESS OTHERS. The word LOVE means – I AM HERE TO BLESS OTHERS! The secret is to WAIT on the Lord and redeem your time faithfully for His kingdom and HE WILL GROW HIS WILL ON YOU.
Every major event in my life – where I should study, whether I should go to the university, the degrees I should take (or not), marriage, career, ministry etc all just turned up at the Lord’s timing. Looking back I wasted much time finding the will of God. I now don’t try to find the will of God because the WILL OF GOD WILL FIND ME!
Enter His Rest! Know the Rest of Faith!

As I sat at the AGM, I thought to myself, "If only..". Yes, if only people would start recognizing that it's Stewardship Day and we're all stewards of God's resources in the body of Christ. As stewards, we should also care about what's happened to the members of Christ's body. It's an excuse for the church to say that a member is "inactive". They define "inactive" in relation to attendance or the reputation of one in the church which indeed is wrong. Jesus specifically tell us to care for His sheep. If one goes wayward or backslide, we should find out, we should talk to the person, we should counsel and pray for the person. Did CC take all these measures before terminating someone's membership?
I remember leaving my first church. I told the pastor that I'm leaving town for work purposes. He told me that the church will keep my membership until I've decided to transfer out. In fact, they kept my membership for about 10 years! That's cause it took me 10 years to actually decide on becoming a member of Calvary Church. People don't make overnight decisions to join a church. Some people like me take so long to decide.
So when I sat in the AGM last Friday and heard brother Sam's sharing about his wife's removal, I was devastated. I was moved to tears. Why did the church go to that extent? I don't care about the reasons they give. I care about the life of a sister. In fact, if the husband is a member of the church, the whole family should be members of the same church unless the church is trying to disunite the members of the family. I was at the registration desk at last year's AGM and I overheard this young sister saying that her father is left outside while she and her mother are separated in their seating because one of them is changed to associate member while the other retained voting rights. So 3 members of one family separated.
I look upon some of the faces of PG's supporters and it brought me to the point of the cross when Jesus told the Father that they know not what they're doing. I wasn't angry but I was very sad for them who are fools, deceived to think they're doing something right by supporting a wrong cause.
In an AGM, members should be allowed to talk or ask any questions pertaining to the church. To challenge what the church does is also a start to transformation. Radical transformation cannot take place if microphones are turned off and people are asked not to challenge the system. Hear them out. Give them a chance to speak even if it means they want to yell or get angry or express themselves emotionally. Though we need to put the house in order, remember that Jesus came to earth because He loves us. He died on the cross because He loves us. Love should be stronger than order. I believe love is able to overcome chaos and put things in the right perspective.
I've asked some of CC's loyal compatriots what they think of CT blog. They told me that their LG leaders have warned them not to visit CT, not to be "poisoned" by evil people, and they react to TTG's cause as if it's some kind of satanic movement.
I think everyone has a right to their own decision. I leave these people to their own folly. However, I will continue to pray like never before. Remember this song?
"Spirit, touch your church, stir the hearts of men, Revive us Lord with your passion once again. I want to care for others like Jesus cares for me. Let your rain fall upon me."
Revival starts with caring for one another. If CC can't even are for its members, we don't have to doubt who's wrong or right anymore.

Am I correct that the AGM was held on Saturday 1st October 2010?
I believe that at one of the Life Group Leaders' session, a video of Bill Hybels sharing on leadership was shown. At the end of his sharing/teaching, he made this point that basically after all that's said and done, God is intersted only in ONE thing and that is PEOPLE. How true! If this is not the focus of the church, then any so called "vision from God" is empty, any declaration that we are obeying the "will of God" is simply meaningless since if the focus is not on people, its unlikely that this is from the heart of God!

'speak the truth in love'. something the ttg and most individuals who have left comments on this blog have failed to do.
Church abuse is nothing new. I have had my share of them.But what is saddening is this- how can a man stand up there in Jesus Name and instead of preaching- run others down.It seems as though "if you dont support us, then you can get out"mentality.Or they sound righteous from behind the pulpit, but get to know them on a personal basis-then the negative comment on others begins.CC in axing its own members- is proof beyond reasonable doubt that its current leadership is backslidden.

Let those who were not there listen to how the senior pastor of Calvary Church speak to the members and everyone can judge for themselves who "speak the truth in love" or not.

Yes I was there also. It is so disgraceful for our Pastor to act the way he did. Pray that the Lord will convict him that he is not walking the talk, not showing grace, love, empathy - in other words "he lost his testimony for the Lord at the AGM!!!"
Minutes should always reflect what happened at the meeting and if there has to be amendments, it is not the practice to alter the previous minutes. At the next meeting an amendment to the previous minutes should be tabled. Unfortunately with this practice CC is practicing it will show that there were no objections or amendments at any meeting. It also shows that they can alter minutes to their liking???

I was also there. SP was hard but then if he was not the meeting would have degenerated into something uglier. I think the AGM went pretty well. But having said this, the overall problem of the church behaving like a corporation and not people-centric remains and for this, the responsibility and "blame" falls squarely on the SP.

We have all the time in the world to slowly do the tango with PG and the BOD.
Like I said before, we don't need the church to pay us salary. Now we got plenty of savings because we don't give Faith promise, Building fund pledge, Leap here leap there fund. No need to buy concert ticket or fly overseas to play golf. So much savings.
We have no worries. No need to raise millions to build our dream house. We are comfortable with our small home.
We got out now and then to have a good meal with friends, chat over the CC saga otherwise nothing to talk about among Christians. We fly overseas for holiday even Air Asia is ok for us. So why should we give up so easily.
TTG bros & sis, don't give up. Many of us are behind you all the way.
Why so long? Why not so long? To me the longer the better. Otherwise we got nothing to chat about when we meet old friends.
True, the behaviour of the church leadership is no different from what you see in a corporation embroiled in political battles. SP and BOD should represent the best of us. Instead I think Edward has shown through his conduct, a Christlikeness example worth following than our SP.
Joshua 5:13-14

The Commander's words are nearly identical to those of Yahweh to Moses out of the burning bush a full forty years before (Exodus 3:5). The Commander is none other than the God himself. God the Warrior.
And why does he answer, "Neither"? Isn't he for the cause of Israel's army? No. Israel's army must be enlisted in his cause. He is the Commander, not they. When things are difficult we wonder, "Is God on my side?" Wrong question. "Am I on God's side?" is the appropriate question.
God is a mighty Warrior who will judge righteously and punish wrong. If we believe that since God is love he can never punish the wicked, then our Bible reading is narrow indeed. He is mighty. And his mere presence is enough to win the battle, for the "battle is the LORD'S"
